Houston Criminal Defense Lawyer

I have been Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for over 28 years.  A Board Certified Attorney is an attorney who has demonstrated special competence in a particular field, such as Criminal Law, and whose competence has been certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  A lawyer who is Board Certified in Criminal Law must have experience in the trial of serious criminal matters and the preparation of such cases for trial.  Additionally, the attorney who is Board Certified in Criminal Law must also have extensive knowledge of state and federal constitutional law, evidence, procedure, and penal laws involved in the trial of criminal cases.  I am Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and I want to assist you in a vigorous defense of your case. I am also a longstanding member of the College of the State Bar, a designation the State Bar of Texas created for those lawyers who substantially exceed the yearly minimum standards on continuing legal education.

In order to properly represent and defend any person accused of a crime, it is best to meet with you prior to your next court appearance, so  that I may go over your background, the facts of your particular case, any possible defenses, the range of punishment applicable to the offense charged, and generally answer any questions or concerns you may have.  In many cases, payment arrangements can be made if money is a problem.  My fees are reasonable and tailored to each individual case.  Additionally, if retained, I can often assist in posting bond or getting bond set.  My office accepts all major credit cards.

If your court date is rapidly approaching, you should call now and reserve a time for office consultation.  We can accomplish much with a personal meeting, and you will feel better having met your attorney knowing that you will be facing a prosecutor and judge with an attorney who has had his competence in Criminal Law certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

I have been licensed to practice law since 1973, and Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1983.  Ninety percent of my practice is criminal defense.

As stated above, 90% of my practice consists of criminal defense, and includes all county court misdemeanors and all felonies except Capital Murder.  I also handle federal criminal cases.
